In the Brooder
Hi all,
I was soooo eggcited to find Silkies at my local Rural King. I bought two. They seemed healthy and I cleaned pasty butt on my yellowish girl (Lucinda) for three days. She wobbled a bit like a drunk but overall was very vocal and sweet and lovable. Yesterday I came home and she had died. The other silkie was just fine. I have a couple of questions since this is my first ever chick to pass away randomly. 1. Are they a delicate breed? 2. Is this common? 3. What could have happened? I loved her so much. I made sure she wasn't all blocked up. She ate and drank just fine. I'm so sad.
TIA
