Just a pic of a couple of soft eggs this morning. I figured this might help somebody new who might not know what to look for in the coop or around the yard. Mine are new layers, just started 2 weeks ago. They're all on layers crumbles now, they didn't like the pellets. They have oyster shell too, I figure they're just working out the kinks from what I've read on here. I have 8 Barred Rocks, 6 Rhode Island Reds, and 4 Easter Eggers for a total of 18 in my flock. They range in age from 18-23 weeks now, and I have 5 that are laying, 3 are consistent layers. 2 of the three consistent layers left me these this morning. I'm keeping an egg log to help me keep track of who lays and when, as well as when I change feed or do something different. Anyway, I hope this helps somebody out. :cd
