I went to the mill and explained it. He mixed me up a layer feed that has calcium in it (along with some other things). I will start feeding it tonight. I will try TSC later this week for a supplement.

He also thinks I am going to have a 50+# bird come Thanksgiving time. Oops. Good thing I like to freeze things!

Nice to have a mill that can do that sort of stuff!

Although I live in a small town - we're very large into faming. So many people have little back yard farms, or horse farms, or dairy farms, etc. It's our go-to place. Great small town business.

The turkey didn't eat very much last night. I gave them a mixture of their other food with it this morning - maybe they'll eat some more.

Same happened to my hens. Have them extra calcium. Oyster shells will do

The food hasn't made a difference, yet. It's only been a couple feedings.

Hoping to find some oyster shells to try and boost it.

They lay soft shell on the occasion with the change of season.... Getting ready for molt and stuff.

And If they are new layers... It takes a bit to get their system going.
