Welcome to BYC @Chicken nuggie! I've noticed you've been looking for chickens in the area, and it doesn't seem you've had a lot of luck finding any yet. It's a little early to start sourcing chicks locally, but come springtime, Craigslist, and FB Marketplace will be hoping with for free and sale chicken posts. If you're really wanting to get some ASAP, ordering chicks or started pullets online is always an option. Otherwise, you'll most likely have to wait till March before the market goes up.

If I do see anything come up in the next few months, I'll try to share it with you!

Thanks a lot I can’t wait till my girls are old enough to start laying one is a buff Orpington and the other an Australop I got them mid December. I have a rooster but I’m not sure what breed he is and I want to keep there eggs and chicks as close to the same breed as possible I’ve thought about breeding them to him to what kind of colors I get out of them what are your thoughts as to what they would produce and what kind of rooster he could be?

He looks like a Red Sex Link. Still learning the way chicken genetics work, but I believe if you cross him with the Buff you will get more buff or white chicks and crossing him with the Australorp will give you black chicks.

Yes, but you missed one option: white chicks from the Black Australorp too (about half of the chicks from that pairing.)
