Was planning on going, but now I'm too busy.Entries for Hutch are due in about a month! I am going to try and take as many birds as possible, not that many though, only 2 black cockerels, 2 black hens, 1 black pullet, 1 white cockerel, and 1 white pullet.
So who is going? Are you coming to show, or buy birds, or visit? Or all 3!
Uffda, never fun. My brother did that last December.
Thank you for the compliments on our barn. Yes it was quite the undertaking to make the barn to look like it does. My dad, youngest sister and I spent a whole summer cleaning and decorating it. So no there will never ever be hay stored in that hay barn. We already have 4 weddings booked for next year and 1 for the year after.Hope no predator gets the Toad. The decorations for the wedding were very nicely done. that is a unique use of a hay loft, and I assume the original clean out was quite a project. It seems too nice now for any hay storage in the future ?
We got 2 inches of rain the other night along with much thunder and lightning which caused one tripped circuit.
Oh Ed you better hatch some chicks next spring. Gotta keep improving those lines!Good late morning to all. It is a beautiful day although a little warm for this time of year.
The chickens are loving the conditions and are not much bothered by trivial things such as NFL football or state and national politics. The world would be a better place if humans were also so inclined.
I have resisted the urge to hatch chicks this year and am wrestling with the question of doing the same in 2019 ? It is nice not to have the work and worry associated, but the desire to produce something better and of value is an intriguing thought.
My birds are loving this weather too. Lows in the 30s at night are nice. I love to watch football, to bad we don't have TV or I would be every Sunday. The politics in it are ridicoulous though.Good late morning to all. It is a beautiful day although a little warm for this time of year.
