Does losing chickens get easier? Because sure does break my heart!
I lost a pullet this year to a freak accident (somehow she flipped the rubber feeding bowl on top of her and couldn't get out all day in the heat) it was sad but I guess because I hadn't become attached yet it wasn't that bad. The one I lost this week I'd had for 2 1/2 yrs and was very attached to 🤷 Hopefully you can have some great times in the future! I think loss is part of having animals in your life, but I wouldn't trade it for anything❤️

I’m sorry you just lost one of your babies :( I definitely love animals so much and feel lucky that we have them. They’re beautiful little individuals!

Guess who found and ate a huge amount of chocolate yesterday?

This container was almost full.
I stopped counting at about 50 wrappers picked up from piles of puke.

He threw up for about 6 hours and pooped liquid chocolate only twice after the 6 hour mark.

He pooped normal today.

After finding first pile of wrappers, I immediately gave him an activated charcoal capsule but he threw it up soon after.
Even though he was throwing up non stop he didn't act strange or look like he felt bad. To

I'm glad he's ok! Now that's what you call a glutton for punishment.

It was earlier this spring, but thank you! Lesson learned though. They are lovely little critters, never thought I'd get so attached to chickens, lol
