So sweet:love

My final hatch number is 5.

Here’s my chicks. More pictures when I have more time to play. I think I have two silkies and three silkie crosses but the light blue has a very light area on its face so I’m not sure if it’s a cross or not.

Final total:
27 hatched

Went into lockdown with 39. I think my compartments were a disaster. Many chicks hopped the fences and got stuck with a solo egg playing hockey. The ones I was SURE were too damaged to hatch from shipping stress that were amongst the others DID hatch, hardly any of my isolated ones did.

I’ll work on that for next hatch!

Still incredibly happy with 27/49 hatching, 50% for shipped eggs long distances.

I hatched:
4 Opal Legbars
13 Cream Legbars
1 Black Ameraucana
1 Blue Ameraucana
2 Black Copper Marans
3 Blue Marans
2 Splash Marans
1 Welsummer

Now to decide who stays.

These three for sure made the cut. My last two (welsummer and marans assisted hatch) and my most docile cockerel of the Legbars. I’m sure all 4 Opals and both Splash marans make the cut too. Pretty sure this little Wellie is a girl, but I put to pink bands in just in case. :fl

The black Ameraucana is in a posse already with four cockerel Legbars. I think he is a boy so I’m probably going to pass. :caf
