By the way here is what the first part of my HAL lockdown looks like I ran out of room and had to leave a few eggs in the cabinet incubator hoping that I can pull chicks and broken eggs in order to get them moved over befor they start hatching
.

Soooo...just to throw it out there...what is everyone's favorite incubator?
My broody...

This is my first ever hatch and she is doing the work for me.

Please tell me about the wafer...what it does, can it be replaced, etc...I'll look up an ST1000. Not familiar with that.

Non digital incubators use and oil filled wafer that adjusts the heat by expansion. It has been around for ever and is fairly reliable. They do fail though and you can get a replacement.

The ST1000 replaced it with digital technology and is much more stable.

Will Genesis replace it for me?
Is the ST1000 a kind of incubator? I'm not finding much about it online...
