The great yolk color debate

I’m really excited thanks for sharing the knowledge @KikisGirls
I like books but I love that book.
I think food is the number one most important thing...for both our animals and ourselves.

You are what you eat.

You are what you eat.
Amen.
Another variable is changing for me. I used up the last of my bag of Nutrena and am now using Purina. I don't think that will skew the results because I've used both before and the yolk colors have remained the same.
We shall see :old Peprika will be used as often as possible, although I am leaving for the next 3 days or so. In that case I may just mix it in with slightly moistened feed left out for them over that time.

@centrarchid uses paprika purchased in the larger containers at Sams Club. Rate is 0.1% of feed on a per volume basis so likely more cost effective than the marigold alternative. Manipulating the carotenoids (forms of vitamin A) only not likely to impact taste or flavor of eggs. When free-range diet is involved, then real difference in taste / flavor likely realized because fatty-acid profile also likely to vary with the color.
