I already dropped in a splice. It's just a bad design to have sensor wires right next to a place that people are supposed to be cutting things. There's a mm of clearance there? Maybe?

Seeing that pic is giving me flashbacks to my very first 3D printer, and a snipped wire issue I had... but in my case, the printer killed itself with very poor design:I did not just clip the filament feeder sensor wires on my brand freaking new 3D printer while changing filament... (hey @Nifty-Chicken look! I did a dumb! )

On the flip side, spending time with friends is also good therapy. The garden will understand.I wish we weren't going to meet friends for lunch. They're an hour away, we'll spend an hour+ at lunch, and an hour coming home. By then, it'll be mid-afternoon, and I won't have gotten anything done out in the garden.
When we set this up, we didn't know it was going to be the first warm-ish sunny day in several days.
