Message me if you hatch enough to sell a sexed pair. I'll continue to search for other breeders to avoid inbreeding. What size is their pen? Temp required ? Number of light hours ? I have an 8 by 16 insulated building with heat and windows for natural light. I plan to seal the floor and a layer of dirt and sand for flooring. I have access to ratite feed, I have an Emu.
Mine are in a 3x5 pen with wood shavings for now. I'm moving soon and they will have a much nicer space. My building was about 55 degrees over the winter and they were fine. I just feed Pheasant/turkey grower and they seem ok on that. They love vegetable and fruit scraps. They have just started to lay. I have 8 birds this year (I kept the 4 off spring from last year) I will be sending out Dna papers soon. I would imagine if this season goes well I will have birds for sale in the Fall.
