Two Great Videos - Building Chicken Coops for Dummies

I love the design and simplicity. The question I have is how could I adapt this design for the cold northern Iowa winters. We usually get at least 24 inches of snow. That would bury a good portion of the coop. Ideas and suggestions welcome!

I also had visions of my coop being buried in the snow, especially after the winter we had last year in CT. I put my coop on a 18" raised platform. That way the door won't be blocked by the snow and I can get in to feed and water easily.
