How about we help the OP make an informed decision? Why would keeping the yolk sac moist be a problem?

I've had more than a few hatchlings with unabsorbed yolks successfully absorb their yolks in a cup, with antibiotic ointment applied to the residual sac. I'm curious about why this would hinder absorption.

If I end up putting something on it is bacitracin (however you spell that) okay?

Bacitracin is an antibiotic ointment without pain relief, right? If so, that should be fine.

I might just put a little bit on anyways. It seems like that would help with infections an such... I just don't know
