I got a used brooder box from a friend. It was lasted used about 5 years ago. It was in his barn all that time and still had some old bedding in the corners. The bottom is pressboard. I cleaned it with 3 tbl of bleach/1 gallon of water. It is in pretty good shape, except the pressboard bottom inside the brooder is a little worn. Is this save or could there be some bad germs still lurking after the good cleaning and sun drying? My new chicks are due in 2 weeks. I want to have everything in place.
