Hello everyone,
I live in Bennington, VT. I am currently in the process of finding some Wyandotte and Sussex chicks, to start my Flock. But unfortunately I am not having very good luck finding any.

Hello Vermonters! I’m in Windsor County and haven’t gotten my chickens yet. But the Chicken Obsession Virus got me somehow and here I am. We are going to convert my beloved’s parts van into a temporary coop until we can’t stand to look at it any more and we have time to build a nicer one, a year or two.

I’m pretty new in Vermont, and I’m eager to learn about chickens and get to know folks.

Here is my only roo now as my gorgeous blue copper Marans passed a month ago. He was in the new coop which seems to be a bit colder and I think his comb frostbite gave him some blood infection. The whole thing turned gray in no time and he was gone in 2 days. I will have to adjust coop before next winter for my proud combed birds. So this is what I have. No blue marans but a fine BCM who will also lose some points thanks to the NE weather edit: he doesn’t have a halo. Light plays tricks.
