Atwoods

. I have six of them alike. She says a label originally said black broilers. However Atwoods manager said he really has no clue what they are.

To my understanding a black broiler can be a hybrid black feathered chicken used primarily for meat and isn't a true breed. Then again black broiler can also refer to any purebred black chicken breed that is bred primarily for meat purposes. If you can, find out what hatchery your Atwoods store gets their chicks from and then look up that hatcheries online catalog and look for the birds they list as black broilers. I only found one post saying Atwoods gets their chicks from Ideal but that was only one store location. I'm not sure if Atwoods deals with only 1 hatchery or several. That should help a bit anyways.
