still on the property (as of this afternoon's report)

Fairy
(originally Snow White)
White Rock hen
remember the "White Rock girl" from the old ad ?

Victoria
silver Ameraucana/EE hen
dug herself out of the coop to stay beside the rooster;
Queen of the property

Sissy
silver laced mixed breed bantam hen
followed by three yellow chicks with gray duckwings,
and four auburn headed black chicks with dark wings

originally I saw two near-identical bantam hens,
called them Bobbi and CeCe after the Bobbsey Twins
(poor analogy as the Bobbsey twins were male & female),
then found this apparent identical triplet who emerged
from a tall brush pile with nine new fluffy butts

carted off to other places after tenant decided to get rid of them:

Albert -- the RJF cross roo who is my avatar
(he was the king that Victoria wanted)
(they paraded around the yard like honeymooners
for several weeks before we had to leave)

Blondie
wheaten standard mixed breed (EE?) hen
(along with her eight newly hatched chickies)
she sang to her eggs, she's definitely blonde ...

Black Maria
black standard EE cross hen
screeched like a siren when startled off the nest

Bobbi and CeCe
near-identical silver/black mixed breed bantam hens
(see explanation above for Sissy)

Bok Bok
Barred Rock
cuz she bok boks?

Poof Face
EE
cuz she has a poofy face

Rhodie
RIR

Red
RIR
cuz they needed names and those were fast picks

Tree Chick
Game Hen
cuz she moved into the oak tree New Year's Day, not sure where she came from

Cotton
Silkie
cuz she looks like Cotton, so soft, she's a rescued from the storm and dog attack chicken

bigzio

No longer have most of the 'named' birds. (Honored my eldest hen by using her name for my log-on)

Nefertiti
silver Easter-egger
was a gold/black chipmunk chick with Egyptian eyes

Charlie
black/white speckled mixed hen
hatched on nephew's birthday

The Charmed Ones
three red/white pullets

Baby Boy
black/white roo
sole survivor or a disasterous hatch

Thomas
BBB/and that long N for turkey tom

Jerry Remy-Black and White Leghorn mix cockerel. Rehomed.
Tom Brunanski-EE pullet.Killed by raccoon.

Obelisk the Tormentor-Black and White Leghorn mix hen. Still kicking and queen of the house at almost 5 years old.
Slifer the Sky Dragon-Light Brahma/Leghorn mix crowing hen. Died of a bumblefoot infection that I didn't catch in time.

Miss Money Penny-Silkie/Cochin mix hen. My only bantam.

Sasha, a mutt, named by DS after HIMself (Alexander). Nicknamed Sasha since SHE is a hen!

Rocky, a barred rock, who was originally Ethel because she came with Lucy (rip) but we kept calling her Rocky after our first BR.

I am hoping to be more imaginative with new chicks!
