Last April before I knew anything about chickens I bought some from a feed store. They were sold as "Ameraucana". They weren't even Easter Eggers... They grew and began to look like Brown Leghorns. Then all but one developed a rose comb. But I was told they were not rose comb leghorns and to look at the Kraienkoppe thread. They do look like Kraienkoppe hens perhaps. Of course Kraienkoppes look pretty much like most of the game bird type hens with that wild type look. Now the ladies are starting to sing each morning. They make this crazy and awesome sound that sounds just like every soundtrack I've ever heard of any jungle scene. They sound like a monkey or something... a very staccato sounding Oo oo oo ah ah aaaaaaaaaaaaah I have never heard a chicken sound like this but its awesome 
I'd love to get more of these birds but I need to know what kind they are so I can find a male for them and breed them. Here are pics of them from lots of different ages. Most of them are pretty flighty since they hit puberty, but the one on my shoulder is Ripley and she is my lap chicken
