What did you do in the garden today?

Hi all. I had to share pics, the xeriscape garden exploded in bloom after the rain.. the lemon tree isn’t ripening lemons so going to remove them, but it has grown taller than the wall around the yard finally. Indoor garden pic too, need a power strip to plug in both lights and then we’re starting some seed tomorrow.

Great photos love looking at you lush plants

Yea... not sure butternut casserole sounds good to me. I like it baked with butter in it. Would make a really nice pie I imagine.
We made it like sweet potato casserole with walnuts, butter, brown sugar, and topped with marshmallow fluff. So basically a pie minus the crust! :lau

lemons will be ripe in winter. why do you want to remove them?

Morning all. Finally the heat & humidity broke so I'm out watering. Got a new bed of lettuce in, going to cover it with a high tunnel when the time comes & see how long it will make it. I'll also plant some indoors at some point.

Peppers are coming in like hot cakes, so are the beans. 1 brndywine has blight & no tomatoes so I'll pull that one. The sungolds are still producing well.

A lot of hot cherries on this plant!

They’ve been there a long time and I don’t think they’ll ripen this year. We always got two crops per year from our lemon tree of the same variety at our old place. I haven’t done it yet, I’m debating. I picked one particular lemon to monitor the growth and will wait a bit to pull anything.
