I know this depends on area, but my state's laws are very poorly worded. Officially, no one in my state is allowed to own "canidae or felidae". Yup no dogs or cats! Also I've heard turtles and snakes are banned but almost every pet store sells them, so...?
I know you need permits for species native to the United States. I presume you need permits for endangered/threatened species, yes? And also for dangerous ones, though that wouldn't apply to most fowl.
For the most part assuming a species is A.) non-native and B.) not endangered, is it okay to raise without some sort of permit/license?
