whiting blues

These whiting blues are leghorn crosses and from what I found so meat is a no go I'll assume!

Their coming in October. May raise them till spring and sell them as laying hens. I really hope the egg color is what they say because they are not attractive girls.

I'm glad you took my advice in the spirit it was intended. I just hate to see folks disappointed when they butcher, and I think you would be with those birds. Now, if you were getting something like Wyandottes straight run, it would be a different story, those boys can have some meat on them. But these little things just look kind of pitiful

I agree the hens don't look especially pretty in the picture. I wonder why they didn't breed some color into them? I understand the focus on the blue eggs, that is a huge selling point. but you do have to look at the birds themselves every day, so why not make them pretty?
