Our area isn't well known for fall foliage, but we have a couple areas that are great for us, this is one called "The Talimena Drive" this was our best fall year in over 15 years, but sadly the day I went was cold and fogged in, so I wasn't able to get the real nice shots, here are a few from that drive though

I love zig zag spiders, they are one of my favorites.

I knew they had a "real" name, but I have always called them that b/c of their webs (but I didn't know what the real name was)

They weave a big "Z" in their web so birds will see it and not crash into it, as the spider needs to eat the old web for nutritional needs.
