One of our girls "Gertie" missed laying yesterday. Look

at what she laid this morning!!!!

OUCH!!!

it is about 3 inches and heavy!!

Let us know if its a triple yolk. Ive had 2 large eggs like that but they have been double yolks. Tell you lady she gets the day off tomorrow after that one

I have a hen that lays one of those every day. All with double yoke, but I did get one with 3 yokes. I was told that this would calm down and happens when the hen is excited and that it normally happens when they first lay. Or at least until they get use to laying. But she has been laying since August like this. She will wear herself out. Can't put in an egg carton because there is nothing big enough. I just use them for baking.

it open tomorrow morning and let you all know. This egg came from a hen that is a year old or so. She is normally a jumbo layer but this is NUTS

My kids all freaked out when they came home from school. Mom is this the worlds biggest egg?

It should go in the Gunnies Book of World Records... LOL
