I love seeing American goldfinches in the spring, the males are so pretty! They come to my feeder in the spring.

Nearby, a few roads down, there is a trail that goes into the woods with a water source on either side of the trail. It seems like almost every time I pass by there, a great blue heron is going to be standing there, staring at the water.
