Wyandottes: Gold-laced/silver laced cross?

Was the mama hen BLR or Silver with BLR?

My male is SLW
Female may be BLW
Or one of the Ivory hens, as one does have a bit of Lace Red on some feathers.
Obviously someone has a Red gene along with the Blue here. But who?

He might be.
He doesn't have the proper Wyandotte comb unfortunately, but I still love him.

Wyandottes are supposed to have rose combs, and he obviously does have a rose comb

Someone told me it was too big. The hen's combs are small in comparison. If his comb is ok...wow, that would be great.

I don't know enough about Wyandottes to know if his comb is too big or not.

But I can tell it is at rose comb (which is the right basic type), not a single comb (which would be wrong, but which sometimes shows up in chicks from Wyandotte parents.)

Most of the rooster photos I've seen all over the Internet have a comb just like his so it was a little confusing when that lady told me his comb was too big. She's not exactly a judge at poultry shows either, so maybe that was just her opinion and not exactly fact, I don't know. I think he's an extremely handsome boy and I just love him.

Many Silver based hens from a BLRW cross will have reddish colors to their body feathers even if they are Silver..
