If the lot is 10,000 square feet, six chickens are allowed; for a 9,000 square foot lot, five are permitted; for 8,000 square feet, the number is four; and for 7,000 square feet, the individual may keep up to three chickens.

It is unlawful for any person to permit or allow any such animal or fowl to trespass on the property of another, alleys or public grounds of the city. If a chicken (or any other animal) dies, you must dispose of its carcass within 10 hours. They cannot be buried within the closely inhabited portion of the city.
