This is really informative. So my little guy or gal has a lighter undercoat. Is it more likely to be a dark blue?
@Noraaaaa unfortunately, I don't. I got him from the bantam bin at Rural King. I actually didn't know it was a silkie until we got home and I was checking them over and noticed the 5 toes. Sorry, I couldn't find a way to reply to your comment directly, lol.

I would say so! Do you know what color s/he is supposed to be? Some blacks start out lighter.
