I love this! I have also considered modifying a greenhouse kit, but hadn't thought to use hardware cloth to replace so much of the glazing. I appreciate the progress pictures and mentions of needed structural improvements. I look forward to an update on how it's doing this winter as I live a bit farther north.

The roof handled 3 ft of snowfall last weekend with no problems at all! And the greenhouse effect during the day has been super helpful it was -10° F last night and as soon as the sun hit the roof this morning it's now 34° inside the coop which is fantastic for the winter and in the warm weather I put white tarps over the roof panels to negate the greenhouse effect so it doesn't get super hot in there in the summer. Structurally it has been amazing through all of the snow, we don't get a ton of super crazy wind here but it's done very well in the snow and extreme cold. I do have plastic clear tarps over the hardware cloth sections right now to help with the wind but I'm very very happy with it! I've also had a bobcat try and fail three times to get in and I think it's given up it hasn't come back. Since posting this article I did add extra hardware cloth along the A line of the roof where the ventilation was even though my gaps were only two inches wide I scared myself about weasels and super hardware cloth every little Gap just in case haha
