I think it works because it helps the bird stand upright and be stable.
I've had a very hard time with celdaon quail chicks with sprangles leg in the beginning, I first did puppy pads and because I had such high mortality rate I switched to pine savings from Walmart I don't get as much unalive chicks as before. I've tried numerous supplements and poultry power which I use to prevent wry neck and sprangles leg my local tractor supplies are out of stock and my usual hydro hen electrolytes is out of stock as well. I'm always trying natural remedies and vitamins and supplements with my birds daily. I've recently been using ACV and half a clove of garlic diluted in a gallon of water. My quail suck that up within a half hour I've never seen them drink something so fast there bowls of water last a couple hours and a gallon last a day. I'm currently using local natural honey from mom and pop stores I used to use panela Colombian brown sugar in their water. I use the honey to mask the taste of the vitamins in there water. My quail hate the taste of nutri drench and rooster booster poultry cell but the like the rooster booster multi vitamin powder. I saw more healing in my birds when I used charcoal food grade 8 capsules in a gallon. I'm now using Perdue thrive and now arrive because I have new quail chicks and ducklings to bring in the new year.
