This is one of the most informative articles I have read. I am a new chicken owner and have 9 week vs old chicks and it is the middle of August and they'll be going into winter and probably moulting. I have been worried about the cold winters in UT. I'm at 6000 ft elevation but in SW UT. It typically foesn't fet below freezing but can grt b into single digits. Also CB it is very arid here.
