What a lovely tribute! If I lived anywhere even somewhat close I'd offer you one of my boys in a heartbeat (Tundra's a brat at the moment, though). Your questions about roos (and chicks) have been thought provoking, making me stop and think about why my birds do something and see chick development in new ways.Thank you for the privilege of seeing them grow with you. I'm deeply saddened that Mr. Chips life was cut so short.

I live in a totally different climate. I also have a hedge on 2 sides of my property. I now have a research project for plants that grow here to enrich and expand my hedges to better support the chickens foraging and shelter options. I'm rather excited about this as it's something I've wanted to do but didn't know where to start. Now I have a direction to go in. Thank you!

Good basics including soil requirements. Should include cold/heat hardiness with temps in both Imperial and metric as people from around the world use the site. Also include water requirements.
