Great post! With scraps and leaves and grass... even sheltering it from rain, how do you keep the contents of the box from composting, effectively? Would it need to be emptied out often?

Unfortunately, ours can't compost because it's covered. I ended up moving the contents to our compost pile once it started getting grody.
