Bensalem Pennsylvania Chicken Ordinance

As Amy523 stated, Bensalem does not have any ordinances concerning chickens or roosters or any other farm animals other than pigs. This article has been the source of some contention here in Bensalem as even some of our officials are using BackyardChickens.com as a source instead of pointing people to the Township ordinance (of which there is none)
Please correct your misinformation
The link on this does not work and the information is inaccurate. Bensalem does not have an ordinance against owning roosters. The only clear statements regarding restrictions on farm animals in Bensalem state that you may not own more than six pigs and essentially that you may not own farm animals as domesticated animals, in other words, as household pets.

From the Bensalem Code of Ordinances definition page - Domestic animals. Domesticated animals that may be kept as household pets, including, but not limited to dogs, cats, and birds, but shall not include pigs, horses, jungle type animals, fowl and other rural animals.
