The chickens have been in there new coop for about a week now. I have all the walls, windows, doors and roof on, just need to finish up trim work, but it is livable for them, they seem to enjoy it except for night time, they seem to be scared for some reason. Here are a few pics of the progress so far.

Well it is now 5/25/2013 and my chicks are 3 weeks old. They are in a temporary coop/run to buy me time as I have a hard time coming up with what I want out of a coop. (This will be an updated post as I progress on it). I will also post pics of my temp. coop/run as well, It should buy me about a month or so.) I decided to build a shed type coop which is 8' x 12' . I am thinking 6' x 5' for front and back should give me plenty of room to expand my flock of 9 hens and 5 roosters. 4 roosters will eventually go somewhere...

I took a few pics of my foundation. Here they are.

It might take a few weeks to finish her up, but I framed this up in about 2.5 hours by myself. I am still on the hunt for free materials, guess I better hurry up as the chicks are out growing this setup quickly.

This was made from a pool storage box and a few pieces of pvc 1/2" pipe 14 in total, and some chicken wire and about 200 zip ties, it should keep them safe for a few weeks, I hope. Well that is all for now, just need to decide what to do with 4 extra roosters I got for free :) Hope you all like it so far, Thanks!
