@Jnet If there is not mesh on the bottom, there are preditors that will dig under the enclosure to get in and feast on chickens. Those predators are mainly nocturnal, meaning that they are active at night, which is why it is still important to lock the roost up tight in the evening.

Well, in this one, something might dig under, into the run. My husband said the same thing about our coop/run, and we stopped closing the coop. But, closing them in the coop does help them get into the habit of roosting and nesting where you want them too as opposed to digging a hole in the ground and nesting there, ect.

Now this is a fun coop. Proven design, but the color combo is amazing. And a parquet floor.... Excellent.

Lol so, can you share the plans? I have a small coop, but I want to build a run like your. That height allows you to go in.
