The winter of 2013-2014, was one of the worst. It was also my first winter with caring for chickens and Pekin ducks.
We are all happy the water was warm enough to drink or swim in. The chickens were housed in the coop with platform heaters under their water fountains. Earlier last summer the hens were producing many double yolks.
Now the wild turkeys are checking the site out.
