2017 has been a tough year for me. Sales have been down at work. When sales are down that means the pay checks are down. Numerous of things have broken around the house that I’ve fixed or need to be fixed. Wife wants new flooring and paint on the walls in our house that I just can’t afford at the moment. Dalton is 15 now and growing up on me so fast and I just can’t seem to slow the time down. He has also informed me that he’s not playing baseball this year, which breaks my heart. Emilie on the other hand has decided that she wants to play softball for her school. I think that’s just great. Unfortunately she found out yesterday that she didn’t make the team. She handled it well in front of me, but I know it tore her apart. I had to be strong for her because I really wanted to go punch that coach right in his throat. One of the things I’ve learned from my Pop is life isn’t fair, and you got to get your butt up and keep on moving. Oh and Work,Work, Work, you’ve got to work. That’s all he ever did was work. This morning has started off like any other morning. I woke up before anyone else did. I made some coffee and was going to sit outside and watch my chickens wake up. This morning it’s very cold so I decided I’d just have my coffee inside. I’ve been waiting for 3 months to hear my rooster crow and it’s been so disappointing morning after morning and nothing, not a sound. Except this morning. When I sat down on the couch with my coffee and had pretty much just given up on my rooster, I heard this awful sound. It sounded like one of those rubber chicken toys, the ones you squeeze and it makes a sound. But oh no, not to me did it sound that way. To me it sounded like a yard full of angels singing . It was great. The rooster is finally crowing . I ran around the house wanting to share the news with everyone but nobody was interested. That’s when I knew that this moment was made just for me. God knew what I needed this morning and boy did he show out. I think it was the roosters way of letting me know that everything was gonna be alright.
Don’t you? Have a great day. Love y’all! #itsthelittlethingsthatmeanthemost #roostersfirstcrow
