Hello! I thought I'd share some pictures with you all of my little bantam flock. There is seven in all.
First off is Stella and Dolla. Stella is a Porcelain d'Uccle and Dolla is a Golden Sebright. These two are the sweetest things and love to hop on my hand when I've got bread. :p

Next is Chip. He's an Easter Egger bantam. He also loves to jump on me when I have bread, but he also loves to snuggle up on me when I don't have any treats at all. He's always been very affectionate and would rather hang with humans than chickens. I guess I trained him like that when he was a chick because he was always the smallest of the bunch. ;)

Then there is the chicks! I hatched five bantams about a month or two ago, from Chip, Stella, and Dolla. When they were younger I trained them to follow me wherever I went. Their names are Luca (lusa), Luca (Luka), Pennche, Pipa, and Cheechee. Now the parents aren't quite sure what to think of them, most of the time they enjoy keeping them in line, but chip loves to just stay with them and keep his eye on his kids. He's a great dad! I don't let the bantams out to roam because of Hawks, but once in awhile I take them out and just sit with them. Here's the chicks.

Now when we got chickens we got them for laying eggs only, we never would have thought about getting bantams, but without them our chicken flock wouldn't be the same. They bring personality, sweetness and cuteness to the flock. I can't imagine what it would be like without them. :)
