Lacey Washington Chicken Ordinance

thanks for this info, im about to move from rural olympia to lacey

anyways... I was wondering about this, and need to take my chickens. I was surprised to find I could have a rooster. My neighbors would be very mad, so I wont, but didnt know.

Just checked on the Lacey city website and it does state that roosters are prohibited. Welcome to Lacey.

You can have a rooster if you live on more than 1 acre of land. The no rooster ordinance is for people who live on less than an acre.

Thank you for posting this! I was just checking the ordinances on Thurston County (we are looking at house in Rochester) and it says chickens are PROHIBITED - can anyone confirm this for me or have anymore recent info than from 2012? It will BREAK my heart if I can't bring my chickens with me!
