Well, where I live we have cold winters. And the coop that my chickens were in was falling apart. A combination of two small rabbit hutches and a make-shift run made of wire in a circle made up my chickens old coop. So, I said that it was time for my chickens to get a new coop for the upcoming cold winter. So, I showed my Dad some plans for a coop. Dad suggested that we put the chickens in our springhouse. Now, our springhouse is not really a springhouse. It's a very nice shed that looks like a springhouse from the outside. Anyways, I was astonished. Originally we were going to give our chickens the whole things, but we decided about half would be better, and easier to insulate. November 3rd, my Dad and I started work, and though I wish I could have gotten mid-construction pictures, I failed to do so, because I was apart of the job!!! All afternoon we worked, came close to dinner and- voila!- the coop was finished!!! I put my chickens in, and immediately started digging away. Finally my chickens had a roosting bar, and four nesting boxes. Not to mention a loft with a Brazilian Cherry Wood ladder. Here are some pictures!!-
