Very cute set up and I do love the wire panels around the outside! Can you include more details snd instructions on how you built this?

How many guineas? Chickens? Dimensions of coop & run?
Great idea, I've thought of doing similar with a dog kennel. Good idea to cover the run too.

The outer run is 8’x8’, and the coop is ~4’x5’. I have two guineas and three chickens. We don’t have a fenced yard, and there are lots of predators around, because we backup to a nature preserve. I’d really like to let them free range a bit when I’m outside with them because the run is so small, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to get them in back in the run when I need to go back in the house.

Is it within your budget to maybe add on to the "run"? You could also train them to come ... Get a plastic container, put some freeze dried mealworms or seeds that they LOVE, shake & feed in the run area. When you're comfortable that they respond to the shaking, you could try letting them out for a bit, enter the run & shake. Problem is if they become so entrenched with being "free" & grubbing, the shaking may fall to deaf ears. Thinking adding to the "run" is the safest.

Nice set-up. Just be aware that those big dog runs are not predator-safe. Lots of critters can get through the large holes and the gas between panels and doors. Coons and opossums "squish" especially well. If their skull can fit through, the rest of the critter can generally follow, as well!

And a tip for free-range return ... if you let them free range shortly before roosting for the night, they should be easier to collect. They may even go in on their own, especially if they come to expect a bedtime snack.
