A simple and quick recipe when you want to have something nice but not spend a lot of time and money. I usually make on a rainy or cold day.

Saute 2-3 Itallian Sasuages, remove from casings til brown. (Add a little olive oil if needed). Add 1 chopped onion, 3 stalks of celery, and saute. Add seasonings: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, 1 teaspoon of Basil, salt & pepper, 1-2 teaspoons of sugar. Add 1 can tomato pieces, 1 can of water, 1 can of chicken broth, 2 cans of great northern beans, 6 oz V8. Simmer 30 minutes. Add a handful of pasta shells, ovals, tubes or mixed. (cook 15 minutes more). Serve with warm buttered Baguette cut in thin slices and a glass of ice water. Key Lime pie goes well with this dish.
