Um...71 plus 7 ducks and I may have 20 in the incubator...

NUGGETS BEST DAY!
From the day that tiny little yellow ball of feathers came home, mom knew she was going to be a handful. Nugget was so small and could fit in a lot of places. Her sisters would of course eat first and she would have to try get in and sneak some. This is her story of how she learned her ninja ways.
When her and her sisters were about to turn one-month old, mom planned to take them outside for a play day. Nugget was so excited! She could finally get away from her sisters and maybe even get some snacks first! She thought and thought about the day coming.
As she was lost in her thoughts, her hatchery sister came up beside her and she jumped in fright. When she landed back down, she looked at Batgirl in shock! She started flapping her wings and taking hops just to make sure she was really doing it. She told Batgirl, see, even though I am the smallest, I can jump bigger than Harley!! I'm going to move up close to Gemma soon, watch me!
Batgirl peeped as if to laugh about being close to Gemma. Yeah right. Gemma was top hen. Not even Harley messes with her and Harley is so mean. She suddenly realized that if her sister moved up in the flock, what would happen to her? She hung her head thinking of the dark lonely days ahead. Nuggets jumping caught her attention. She was getting higher and higher! Jump with me said Nugget. If you go like this with your arms you stay up longer. Batgirl was scared but Nugget was so small and could do it and if she could learn she could move up to Gemma with her sister! Batgirl held her breath and HOP! Yay!! Thank you, Nugget! Let's keep practicing!!
They had two days to practice before the play day and they wanted to be so good at jumping. The other girls started noticing them hopping all day long and stared.
No way am I doing that said Olive. All the food is on the ground! Silly little girls!
The night before the big day, Batgirl stopped Nugget on the way by and said look what I did! I jumped too high and I didn't back down here, I almost came down in the water!! Look Nugget, Look!
Batgirl showed Nugget that you can jump, and move and jump and land on other things and jump to others.
Nugget was amazed. She wanted to try but with all the girls sleeping, she didn’t want to risk getting in trouble with Harley or Gemma before the big day.
Mom came in to tuck them in and sing them to sleep. As Nugget closed her eyes, she smiled to herself. She wanted to surprise mom how high she could jump and maybe Gemma would see and want her to eat with her too.
Nugget heard mom saying hi to everyone and opened her eyes, it was morning!!! They were going outside today. Mom told them for days how much fun outside it. There's bugs, and grass and sun. They could play in the dirt and dig in the sand and she cooled jump!! She hopped up and stretched her little yellowish wings. Mom gave them their breakfast and Nugget hurried to it, knowing she would be pushed away once the other girls saw her eating.
She started pecking at breakfast and saw the twins coming up where she was. Oh, great Nugget thought They look to be in a bad mood, which means they will make sure we are too.
Hi Bobby Sue and Billy Jo said Nugget.
Billy jo looked at her and tried to peck her on the head!
Nugget jumped back just in time. Billy Jo missed! Bobby Sue hurried over to help her twin but Nugget saw her too and jumped again! The twins not understanding why they didn’t get her but happy they made her move, turned and went back to eating.
Mom scolded them for picking on Nugget and scooped nugget up to make sure she was ok. Mom is great and we love her but she likes hugs and kisses way too much! When Nugget was brought up to moms’ beak Nugget leaned in to her. She figured it was a special day and mom did help so she'd give her a little hug, what could go wrong?
Just then mom let out a loud noise and started talking to her like a human baby and mom was so excited. Nugget regretted it immediately. Pimento laughing at Nugget. look what you did! Now she is going to start taking pictures and singing. Nugget knew that's exactly what mom was going to do but today she didn't care. It was time to go outside!
Finally, mom brought the baby bus to get them. Everyone was so excited, chirping and bouncing waiting for mom to reach in and get them next.
Mom talked to them and told them not to be scared, they would be ok and she had them close. Then it just got bright! and warm. Was this outside? Did they make it?
Mom told them to get back so she could open the door, all of a sudden there was stuff everywhere. stuff she didn't know. Would it hurt her? Mom was there, right? She wasn't leaving. She wouldn't let them get hurt right.
Harley stepped out first because Gemma told her to make sure it was ok. Harley gave a chirp to Gemma and she stepped out next. Once she was away from the door the rest of the girls piled out.
Everyone took off in different places. They weren’t near each other! Nugget immediately started jumping. She saw mom with their cousins the ducks at this big thing that had a piece of something from the ground to the top. Nugget curious stepped on it and walked. She was climbing! It was like getting the high on a jump without jumping! Whets mom doing? she's in the thing with the cousins. Unaware of where she was going Nugget slipped and was falling. Oh no she thought and then her wings moved! She slapped again and prepared to hop when she landed. As soon as she jumped, she flapped really hard. She was on the thing with mom again!!
She spent the rest of the morning, jumping, hopping and flapping. Batgirl, Pimento Lydia and Sabrina would join in. The twins, seeing the others having fun came in to stop it. Bobby sues ran straight at Nugget. She knew what she needed to do. She jumped and jumped this way and that. The twins gave chase but Nugget was too fast! She got away!! her sisters were staring at them, in disbelief. They chatted to themselves about doing it to. Nugget looked over at Gemma and Gemma gave her a NOD!! Nugget was so excited! Mom called them for treats and Nugget didn't even care she probably wouldn't get the good ones.
She was walking to the girls when mom called her. Here you go Nug. You were training really hard out there all day. You did so good getting away from those bully sisters. Mom put
the best treats right in front of her!! After treats. She went to Batgirl and asked batgirl to play and see if they could walk on different things. By the time mom said it was time to go back to the nursery. The bluebell sisters were ready for a nap!
She didn't get to eat with Gemma and that's ok, she got to learn and play with her best friend.
