Common Predators to Look Out For In The Fall

Good reminder about predators in general. I would add that it's not necessary to bury your fence a foot deep. That would be a tremendous amount of work. Animal control told me that it's just as effective to put a strip of hardware cloth around the perimeter and attach to the ground with landscape staples. Just as effective and minimal work.

Great article with good information, however the worst predator here to my flock are Bobcats! They are brazen relentless hunters that can sneak like no other and patiently wait on the edges of the lawn and snatch the hens when they are close enough for a never fail attack.
Trust me, you are fortunate if they are not in your area.

Perfectly written. Smart formatting makes it easy to navigate. Don’t blame you for skipping bears, since hot wire would probably need its own article!
Well written article. Article immediately captures attention with its witty writing, making it easier to read (and remember). Great pointers concerning the predators, as well as links for further study. All around good article.
Great prevention and safety tips! Good timing too!

Could this be pinned or linked in the Predator and Pests forum?
A nice informative article that comes at a great time of the year to be vigilant about predators! 🙂
