September 30, 2009. Completed. Well. 99.9% done. Just waiting for the aluminum to cover the nest box cover. The girls are loving it as much as we love sitting on the deck and watching them.

The green blob floating near the feeder: A head of cabbage also known as the cabbage god they feared then destroyed.
Hubby asked me if I'd ordered the chicks for next spring. I can't wait to see what he has in mind for the addition. He knows I want a total of 12 hens, banties.
Mwah... building, enlarging, more chooks! I'm not addicted.

Off to the store to get more wood. Oops, forgot bracing for the floor. Giggles. Hubby is an engineer and he forgot to get it. Once we got home, he started up building and only stopped
once the drill ran out of juice. No injuries unless you count the handsaw taking a taste of his jeans.

The ventilation hasn't been placed since the silly drill got tired. I can't imagine why. It's not like the hubby likes to use screws to build everything.
He's now calling it a storm shelter in case.... What a guy.

Tomorrow will be caulking and painting the wood. I can't wait to get it started. Well, if it doesn't rain.

The girls are watching and I think I overheard them talking about how nice it will be. Of course, I could be mistaken and it could be talk of what they want to do with my mop bucket.
