Nice looking coop! Article could use some more build pictures. I would also replace all the chicken wire for hardware cloth.
I do like the idea of having some of the elevated coop floor to be wire. I'm thinking that a breeze comes up from the cooler area underneath and carries heat out with it through the roof vents.
