Designed my own coop!

I designed and built my own coop and run with my dad. The kids painted the inside to make it a happy place for the ladies. It’s easy to clean and access, and it keeps my NY ladies safe in the winter without a heat source. Looks like a nice coop and involving the kids was a good idea. Wish there was more information on how it was built.

You built yourself a very cute coop. Thanks for sharing. It would be great if you told us how you built it and why that way, along with photos of the Construction.

"Great Coop! Can we see some specs, please?"

If I was to rate this coop on style and function, I'd give it a full-blown 5! I would really like to see some dimensions and maybe some hints on how to do it ourselves. I especially like the narrow storage area under the nest boxes, the two-level roof line and the piece de resistance ... hooks for coop shoes! Please, please, please, show us how you did it. This is beautiful!

Your coop is great. Love all the little touches. I was hoping you'd post a picture of inside your nest box/storage it looks like from the photos. Looks clever.

Good idea having a place to hang your "coop shoes". The kids did a good job decorating the inside :D

The coop itself is 5X4X5, and the run is 8X8.
