Hi everyone!
Welcome to my page!
Here, I will be documenting my three other chicks in the same batch as my two Cream Legbars!
If you'd like to see the growth and comparison between two Cream Legbars - one from the Jill Rees line and the other from the
Curtis Hale line, please see my other member page (updated weekly as well!):

Perhaps you're here because you're curious, have one of these breeds, bought some chicks and have no idea how old they are,
so you want an idea, you just want to look at some cute pictures of chicks, or for whatever reason!
I welcome one and all to share this journey with me!
I've recently won an auction for 12 random Greenfire Farm chicks so check back for the link of their growth documentation!
For the sake of making it easier for everyone to understand, I have grouped them together as one age although they may be a day or two older/younger than each other.
Five days (September 30th, 2015):
*My first batch, I had received 4 chicks but only 3 survived. This was the Rees Cream Legbar, Splash Isbar, and Lavender French Marans.
The Cream Legbar I document on a different page (linked above) and the Black Copper Marans didn't come until a week later.
These pictures were taken the very day they arrived!

:
^ They had grit because I gave them three tiny little crickets each.
^ My Rees Cream Legbar are also in these pictures!
^ LOL Esmé in the back thinking," Really ma.. can a chick sleep around here? I'm totally unimpressed
"
^ Yes, she's the narcoleptic one. Still is!
One Week, Two Days (October 4th, 2015):
Iris: 01.3 Ounces - Splash Isbar
Esmé: 01.2 Ounces - Lavender French Marans
One Week, Five Days (October 7th, 2015):
*On this day, the other two turned 2 weeks but I forgot to take pictures of them. This is the day Aspen (Blue Copper Marans) arrived with
my other Cream Legbar (Hale) who's growth is documented in the link above! Two other chicks came with this shipment but did not make it.
I'd also like to add that Aspen (pictured below) was hatched around the same time as the two above (give or take a day), just shipped to me later.

Two Weeks, One Day (October 10th, 2015):
Iris: 01.5 Ounces (0.2 Oz Gain) - Splash Isbar

^ Sorry for the dog photo bomb!
That's my beloved Papillon mix, Toki!
Esmé: 01.3 Ounces (0.1 Oz Gain) - Lavender French Marans
Two Weeks, Five Days (October 14th, 2015):
Iris: 02.0 Ounces (0.5 Oz Gain) - Splash Isbar
Iris: 02.0 Ounces (0.5 Oz Gain) - Splash Isbar
^ Look at her neat splash patterning beginning to emerge! The only splash I have in my flock.. for now! Pretty!
Also, they have a dish of fermented starter feed and dry starter feed.. the brown is the FF.. or poop.

^ Still a narcoleptic and constantly sleeping.. many times in the middle of eating! Haha!
Aspen: 02.1 Ounces (0.5 Oz Gain) - Blue Copper Marans
Aspen: 02.1 Ounces (0.5 Oz Gain) - Blue Copper Marans
3 weeks 6 days (October 22nd, 2015)
Iris: 13.2 Ounces (11.2 Oz Gain) - Splash Isbar
Aspen: 13.5 Ounces (11.4 Oz Gain) - Blue Copper Marans
Esmé: 11.8 Ounces (10.3 Oz Gain) - Lavender French Marans
^ As you can see, she is developing much slower than her sisters. Worried, I went on Google to try to figure out what's wrong with her. Well of course, Google linked me here
and I was intrigued to see that others had the same problem. It seems that they'll have a "runt" that develops much slower and is much smaller than the rest of their "siblings."
The key factor that made me realize she fell into the same category as these other cases was that the runt that we have all have droopy eyes. As you can see in her pictures,
it seems like her eyes are always half closed. Besides this, she is completely healthy. She eats, drinks, poops, and plays just like the others. People that had chicks like this that grew up, reported that they stay very small. Either they are bantam sized or a bit smaller. How interesting! I look forward to seeing her grow!
Alright, hope you enjoyed and thank you for viewing!
Check back every half a week to week, if you're interested, because I'll be constantly updating this!
