So my husbands employee gifted him two hens on his last day at work. He is Mexican, the only reason I mention that is because he said these are Mexican chickens lol. They both came in a small box together. Once we set them up in a kennel inside our chicken run the red one was extremely mean and kept attacking the smaller one. I felt horrible because the smaller one had her head burried in a corner and the red one still kept attacking her. I couldn’t stand it so I moved the mean one to our old chicken run that doesn’t have a coop. They both get crazy when I come around and freak out. The smaller I kept in the kennel inside the Chicken run so that my girls get used to her. My girls are very sweet and calm and don’t seem to care much about her. She is fine as well when they come near the kennel. The other one gets all riled up the second anybody (me or chickens) come near her. Any ideas on the breed? And suggestions on how to get them used to my girls? I would hate to bring a New hen who beats up my girls who I raised since they were week old chicks
