I liked the looked of the BirdsInBethel tractor, but needed less weight and wanted more sunshine. I ended up using about 4 boards of 8 ft 2x4s, 2 sheets of plywood, 2 rolls of 15 ft - 1 inch hardware cloth, 1 sheet of the Ondura roofing with 2 ridge cap pieces (at Lowe's) and some pieces of scrap I already had. I started laying it out in SketchUp, but only to get a visual of which pieces would join where and to start me on the path of building as it went along.
